Class & Event Timetable

The week your studio actually runs — no cap on classes on the free plan, and three days a week is one entry, not three.

  • No cap, ever
  • Repeat rules
  • Four arrangements
  • No badge, ever

The gap it closes

The incumbent is Schedule, 2.8★ over 137 reviews, and its most-voted complaint by a distance is about payments — an engine it built and cannot keep running. Underneath that sit four reviews that are all the same missing feature: “it is not user friendly to update the sessions and also we dont have options to set 3 times a week and have to do event for each of it”, “I do classes every other day, the only selection that this app that fits my need is ‘weekly’… I have to create another event”, “impossible to schedule some 2 days duration events”, and “can only add one event to schedule”. A timetable app that cannot express “Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at seven” is not a timetable app.

The second-most-voted review is not about features at all: “No direct way to access the back office tool — I either need to go into Wix Editor or go thru the link that was sent to me in an email when someone books”. Beneath it: “you need to be able to have a link that doesn’t require a password” and “Back Office is horrible and can’t seem to log in using the correct password”. Editing your own timetable should not require a second account.

And the whole shelf prices the same way. Schedule stops at ten events and charges $5.53 a month for the eleventh, for putting the widget on a second page, and — in its own words — for “Your own branding — (Non-premium scheduler have Simpl-e-Schedule attribution)”. Elfsight’s free plan is 200 views a month with “Elfsight Branding” listed as a feature. Boom Calendar stops at ten and charges $11.08 to “Remove Brand Ads”. Events Calendar stops at ten and charges $13.87 a month to let visitors switch between a week and an agenda.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself.

  1. 01

    Type each class once

A name, and then whatever else you want: the days it runs, the time, the teacher, the room, the level, a price in your own words, a picture and a description. Tick Monday, Wednesday and Friday and that is one entry, not three. Every other week, every third or fourth week, a workshop that runs two days, a class that finishes after midnight, and a one-off evening all live in the same timetable.

  2. 02

Put the week wherever you like

Drag the element onto any page, as many pages as you like, on every plan. Four arrangements — a week grid with the times down the side, day columns, an agenda, or cards — with every colour, a colour per type of class, a 12- or 24-hour clock and a week that starts on any day. Two classes at the same time sit side by side. On a phone the grid becomes an agenda by itself, so the whole week still fits.

  3. 03

Send people where you already take bookings

A Book button in five modes — a link, an email address, a telephone number, a page on your site, or just a sentence. Visitors can search and filter by type, teacher, room and level, open any class for the full description, add it to their own calendar, and share a link straight to it. It runs in Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony.

How it behaves

The decisions that matter.

  • No cap on classes, even on the free plan

Every other app in this corner stops at ten events. A yoga studio runs thirty classes a week; a leisure centre runs a hundred. Ten is one day. The free plan here has no cap at all, with all four arrangements, every design control, search, all four filters, add-to-calendar and CSV export.

  • Three days a week is one row

Tick the days and the class appears on every one of them, every week, for ever. Every other week, every third or fourth week, a run that lasts two days, a class that finishes after midnight, and a single dated evening are all one row too. This is the thing four separate one-star reviews on the app next door are asking for.

  • No badge on any plan, ever

No watermark and no “powered by”, on the free plan or any other. Three of the four apps on this shelf print their own brand on your website and charge between $5.53 and $13.87 a month to stop. We never do it in the first place.

  • It is a timetable, not a booking system

It never takes a booking and never takes a payment — no cart, no PayPal field, no attendee list, no confirmation email. Book hands a visitor straight to wherever you already do that. The most-voted review on the incumbent is about its payment options, and the cluster beneath it is that engine failing on live sites. Ours cannot fail because it does not exist.

  • A class at 18:00 is at 18:00

Nothing here ever converts a timezone. Two rivals charge $13.87 a month for timezone conversion and it is the wrong answer for a room with a floor in it — somebody reading a Lisbon studio’s timetable wants to know when to turn up in Lisbon. The times are the times you typed, with a line of your own saying whose they are.

  • Your own dashboard, no second login

The whole timetable is edited on a page in the dashboard you already use. No separate back office, no password to lose, no emailed link. Every visitor-facing word is an editable field, so the timetable can run in any language without a translation file of ours.

  • Nothing is stored about a visitor

No cookie, no local storage, no identifier. The only row a visitor’s action can ever write is one saying that a session’s Book button was pressed, and only when you switch counting on — no name, no address, no message.

  • Nothing is fetched from anybody else

No fonts, no icon sheets, no map tiles, no calendar service, no trackers. Every glyph is drawn in the page and the only images are your own.

  • It is your site’s data, not ours

Every class is a row in a collection inside your own site, and CSV export is free on every plan. The oldest and largest cluster of complaints in this whole corner is people losing their classes — “Wont Save”, “Won’t stay saved… Wasted $40”, “after 1.5 hours setting up events, they don’t display”. There is no server of ours between your dashboard and your page.

Pricing

Free tier that actually works.

Installing & getting started

  1. Add Class & Event Timetable to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
  2. Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Timetable element (editor widget, any page, any number of times) / Dashboard page.
  3. Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers one timetable with no limit on classes, all four arrangements and every design control, repeat rules for any set of weekdays and every week / every other / every third / every fourth, runs that last more than one day, classes that finish after midnight, one-off dated events, search and all four filters, pictures, prices in your own words, a Book button in five modes, add to calendar, share links, your own words for every label, and CSV export, so you can prove it works before paying.

What is stored, and where

  • Your timetable — classes, days, times, teachers, rooms, prices, pictures, wording and design — is stored in collections inside your own site.
  • Nothing about a visitor is stored. The only row a visitor can cause is one saying a session’s Book button was pressed, written only when you have switched counting on, and holding no name, address or identifier of any kind.
  • Nothing is written to a visitor’s browser: no cookie, no local storage.
  • Uninstalling removes the app’s collections. Nothing else is touched.

Questions people ask.

How many classes do I get for free?

As many as you like. There is no cap on the free plan at all — one timetable, unlimited classes, all four arrangements and every design control. Every other app in this corner stops at ten events, which for a studio running thirty classes a week is one day.

Can one class run on several days a week?

Yes, and that is the point of the app. Tick Monday, Wednesday and Friday and it is one entry that appears on all three, every week. Every other week, every third or fourth week, a workshop that runs two days, and a class that finishes after midnight are all one entry too — and it is free.

Does it take bookings or payments?

No, deliberately. It is a timetable, not a booking system: there is no cart, no PayPal field, no attendee list and no confirmation email. The Book button hands a visitor to a link, an email address, a telephone number or a page on your site — wherever you already take bookings. That is exactly why it cannot quietly stop working.

What happens if somebody is in another timezone?

They see the time you typed. Nothing in this app converts a timezone, because a class at 18:00 happens at 18:00 in the room it happens in. You can write a line of your own — “All times are studio time” — and it is shown under the week and carried into any calendar file a visitor saves.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Below about 720 pixels the week grid and the day columns become a day-by-day agenda by themselves, so a visitor sees the whole week one day under another rather than one day at a time. The published page was measured at 390 pixels with no horizontal scrolling anywhere.

Does it work on Wix Studio?

Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app, the same settings panel. It was built and verified on a published Wix Studio site and on a published classic Wix site.
