The gap it closes
The thing the app is for is the paid feature. A coming soon page exists to stop being one. Next door that costs $3.50 a month — “Auto hide coming soon page” sits in the Pro column, beside the social links and the preview password. Without it you have to be awake at nine on launch morning to take your own page down.
Two of the three take no free customers at all. One bills $7.50 a month through an account on somebody else’s website after a three-day trial; the other is $12.58 a month with no free plan whatsoever. Its only review says the trial read “expired” twenty minutes after installing.
The waitlist corner is worse. The one app on that shelf is 1.0★ over three reviews, and all three are the same failure: “impossible to open and to try”, “Nowhere to put a code … it simply doesn’t seem to DO anything”, and — four days before this app was built — “keeps saying add to site, connection down”. It is a front end for a service somewhere else, and when that service is not answering, neither is your page.
And the leader’s own worst review is about its preview. “settings are hard to find, ai bot useless, app doesn’t show accurate previews. its hard to correct mistakes from inaccurate previews.” You cannot see what your visitors will see until they have already seen it.

Set the moment, once
One date and time, on your own clock — the dashboard spells it back to you in words and tells you which zone your browser thinks you are in, so a launch set from a laptop abroad cannot open an hour early by accident. A launch is one moment worldwide: everybody’s countdown reaches zero together.

Put the panel on a page, or a curtain over the whole site
The launch panel drags in from Add Elements → App Widgets — four arrangements, from a full centred launch page to a single line with just the clock. The curtain is one switch in your dashboard: it covers your published site until the moment arrives, and there is nothing to place and nothing to publish.

Collect the people who want to be told
An address, and on Pro a name and one question of your own — “what size are you waiting for?”. Somebody who presses twice is not counted twice. Download the list as a spreadsheet, free, on every plan. The app never writes to it: you send from whatever you already use.

Show your own people round before anybody else
A private preview link walks you, or a client, straight past the curtain — one click, from a phone, no password to type into a page that is meant to be shut. It is free here, and it is a $3.50-a-month feature on the only rival that has a free plan at all.

And then it opens, by itself
At the moment you set, the curtain lifts and the panel stops drawing itself. Nobody has to be there. On Pro it can turn into a “we are live” panel with a button through to wherever you want people to go.

If a card expires on the Tuesday and the launch is on the Wednesday, the site still opens. The function that decides it has nowhere in its signature to put a plan, and a test reads the file’s own source to keep it that way.

- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. Permissions, and why each one
Read site, business and email details- How the app knows which site is asking and which plan it is on.
Manage embedded scripts- Only so the curtain can be added while it is up and taken away the moment it is down. A site that is not behind a curtain carries none of the curtain’s code.
What is stored, and where
- Your launch, its wording and its design are stored in collections inside your own site, visible in your content manager.
- A sign-up records the address, a name and one answer if you asked for them, the moment, and the path of the page the form was on — never the full address, never the query string.
- There is no network-address column, no reader-identifier column, no browser column and no referrer column on that collection, so there is nowhere for one to be added by accident.
- Nothing is written to a visitor’s device — no cookie, no local storage, no session. The one exception is the preview key of somebody who arrived holding one, kept for that tab only.
- Nothing is ever uploaded to this app: your logo or background is an address you already have.
- No email is ever sent by this app, and no address is ever passed on. You are the one responsible for the people on your list, and you can remove any of them on any plan.
- It connects to no third party at all: no account elsewhere, no key, no service.
- Uninstalling removes the app’s collections and its script. Nothing else on your site is touched.

Questions people ask.
Does it really take itself down?
Yes, and that is free on every plan. At the moment you set, the curtain lifts and the panel stops drawing itself, with nobody there and nothing to press. The countdown reaching zero and the curtain lifting are the same piece of arithmetic, worked out in the visitor’s own browser — so the moment cannot arrive and find the app busy.
What happens if the app goes down while my curtain is up?
Your site is visible. Every doubt takes the curtain down — an answer that did not arrive, an answer that arrived wrong, a moment that will not parse. It is built that way round on purpose: the worst this app can do is fail to hide a site.
Is the curtain a password or a lock?
No, and it says so in the dashboard in those words. It covers your published site for people; search engines and anyone reading the page source can still see what is behind it. Anything that has to be private belongs behind your site’s own member area. The preview link is a courtesy for you and your client, not security.
Do you email my list for me?
No. There is no mail server in this app at all, which is exactly why none of your launch emails can go astray, land in spam or fail on the morning. It collects the addresses and hands them to you as a spreadsheet, free, on every plan — you send from whatever you already use.
What happens when the free plan’s fifty names are full?
The form stops taking new ones and says so on your page, in a line you can edit, and your dashboard warns you ten names before it happens. Nobody is ever quietly thrown away. The fifty you have are yours to download whatever you do next.
Do I need an account anywhere else?
No. No account, no key to paste, no service to connect. It works the minute it is installed. The waitlist app on the neighbouring shelf is a front end for a service somewhere else, and all three of its one-star reviews are somebody unable to get past that.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your launch page keeps working and the curtain still lifts at the moment you set — that is free for ever. Your names stay where they are and stay downloadable. What stops is the extra authoring: a second launch, choosing which pages the curtain covers, the extra form fields, the live panel, the report and the record.
Does it work on Wix Studio?
Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app and the same settings panel.
