Countdown Timers keeps every timer in your site’s own collections, so nothing vanishes and one Save writes the whole timer. Every date is read in a time zone you pick, on the server, so the moment is the same for everyone. The figures sit in fixed-width boxes so nothing on the page shifts, and no badge of ours appears on any plan.
Pro adds evergreen countdowns that start when each visitor arrives, repeating ones that roll over daily or weekly with nothing to reset, count-up, a choice of what happens at zero, and a bar fixed to the top or bottom of every page that pushes your site down instead of covering it.

Add the Countdown element from the editor, pick the timer, its size and alignment. Or switch on the bar and it appears on every page.

An evergreen timer asks first
Remembering when a visitor first arrived means storing a value in their browser, so it only does that when the site’s cookie banner allows functional storage. When it does not, the countdown still runs — it just starts again on each page.

Nothing moves
Every figure sits in a box of a fixed width with tabular numerals, so the page does not shift as the seconds change.

The bar pushes, never covers
The site bar moves the page down by exactly its own height, and moves a fixed header down with it.

A failure says so
If a timer cannot load, the element says it is unavailable rather than showing a row of zeros.

No script when there is no bar
The bar script is added to your site only while a bar is switched on, and removed again when it is not.

- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Countdown element (editor widget, any page) / Site bar (top or bottom of every page) / Dashboard page.

APPS.MANAGE_EMBEDDED_SCRIPT- Add the site bar to your pages when you switch one on — and take it off again when you switch it off.
What is stored, and where
- Your timers and their settings are stored in collections inside your own site.
- Nothing about a visitor ever reaches the app: every route it serves to a page is a read.
- A fixed-date, repeating or count-up timer stores nothing in a visitor’s browser. An evergreen timer stores one start time, and a closed bar stores one flag for that browsing session — both only when the site’s cookie banner allows functional storage.
- Nothing is copied to any server of ours; the app runs on Wix’s infrastructure. Uninstalling removes the app’s collections and the bar.

Which time zone does a fixed-date timer use?
The one you choose when you set it, worked out on the server. Visitors everywhere count down to the same moment on their own clock.
What is an evergreen timer?
A countdown that starts when each visitor first arrives, for offers like “24 hours from now”. It remembers the start in the visitor’s own browser, and only when the site’s cookie banner allows it.
What happens when the timer ends?
Whatever you chose: it stays on zero, hides, shows a message, or sends the visitor to a page. A redirect is only ever followed on your live site, never in the editor.
Can I hide the days and just show hours?
Yes, and the hours then carry on past 24 rather than losing the days. Every unit is free.
