The gap it closes
Job Board (POWR) sits at 3.9★ across 127 reviews, and its reviews fall into two piles. The first is about applying: “Absolutely Pointless. There is no option for people to select a job and apply for it. So it’s 15 bucks a month for basically a list that I could’ve just written on any web page.” “The Apply button is just text and not an actual button, which makes this whole app useless.” “Email Component NOT Working … when the apply link was clicked nothing would happen.”
The second is about reading the advert at all. Seven separate reviews describe the same thing: “when you open the posting, it does not scroll at all, so people can only view the first few lines of the description”, “each role’s window has no scrollbar and cannot scroll — candidates cannot even read a whole job description.” Underneath both sit the smaller ones: no filter by city, only three roles free, $6.89 a month to remove the app’s own watermark, and “the changes don’t appear on the live website.”
Jobs & Careers Board answers all of them. Every role gets a real Apply button in one of four shapes, the advert opens in a panel that always scrolls with the Apply button pinned on screen, all three filters are free, ten roles are free, and there is no badge on any plan. And the reason the Apply button cannot break is the thing this app refuses to build: it never receives an application.

Three steps, then it runs itself.

Write the role
Only the job title is required — everything else is optional and an empty field is simply not drawn. Add a summary, a description and as many named sections as you like (“What you will do”, “Benefits”), with your own headings. Lines starting with a dash become a real list.

Choose how people apply
A page on your own site, a link to your applicant system, an email address, or no button at all. Pick email and the address is shown in plain text beside the button as well, so a candidate with no mail app can copy it — and the role title and your reference go in the subject line.

Put it on any page
Drag the element in as many times as you like: the whole board on the careers page, one department on the engineering page, a compact list of titles in a sidebar. It works the same way in Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony.

The Apply button is a real button, and it hands off
This app never receives an application. No CV is uploaded here, nothing about a candidate is stored, and there is no mail server of ours to stop working — which is exactly why the button cannot fail the way the incumbent’s does.

The advert always scrolls, and Apply stays on screen
A role opens in the browser’s own top layer, sized from the viewport with the description scrolling inside and the Apply button pinned below it. Measured at a 400-pixel-tall window and on a phone: the button is still on screen.

Every filter and every arrangement is free
Department, location and employment type — all three, free. Cards, list, sortable table and titles-only — all four, free. So is every design control and every visitor-facing word. The app this replaces charges for one filter.

No badge and no watermark, on any plan
Not on the free plan, not ever. The incumbent charges $6.89 a month to take its own logo off your careers page.

It creates no pages
A role opens over the page you are already on, addressable by its own link. Nothing joins your menu, no dynamic pages are built, and nothing can turn into a broken link. The app is never added to a page on its own either.

A change is live the moment you save it
Roles live in collections inside your own site and the board reads them as it renders. There is no cache of ours to go stale and no republish needed — the complaint behind seven “it doesn’t update on the live site” reviews.

Nothing is stored about a visitor
No cookie, no local storage, no identifier, and no font, script or tracker loaded from anywhere. On Business you can count how many times Apply was pressed: that writes one row naming only the role.

Installing & getting started
- Add Jobs & Careers Board to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Careers board element (editor widget, any page, any number of times) / Dashboard page.
- Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers ten open roles on any page, search and all three filters, all four arrangements and every design control, the role panel that always scrolls, a real Apply button in all four modes, share links that open the right role, every visitor-facing word editable, and CSV export, so you can prove it works before paying.

Permissions, and why each one

What is stored, and where
- Your boards, roles and settings are stored in collections inside your own site.
- No application is ever received by this app: no CV, no candidate name, no contact details. The Apply button sends the candidate to your own page, link, applicant system or inbox.
- If you switch Apply counting on (Business), the app writes one row naming only the role. No name, email, address, cookie or other visitor identifier is stored with it, and nothing is written to the candidate’s browser.
- Uninstalling removes the app’s collections. Nothing else is touched.

Questions people ask.
Does the app collect the applications?
No, and that is deliberate. It never receives an application, stores no CV and keeps nothing about a candidate. The Apply button hands them to your own form, your own page, your own applicant system or your own inbox — which is why it cannot stop working.
Can a candidate upload a CV?
Not here. Point the Apply button at a page on your site with a Wix Form on it, or at your applicant system, and take the CV there. Free plans of both already do that well, and neither of them is us holding somebody’s personal data.
Does it work on Wix Studio?
Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app, the same settings panel. It was built and verified on a published Wix Studio site.
What happens when a role closes?
On Pro you can give a role a closing date. It stays open all of that day and comes off the board by itself afterwards, and anyone following an old link is told the role has closed rather than being dropped on a page with no explanation.
