The leader of this corner is PDF Viewer Pro, 4.1★ over 303 reviews and Verified by Wix, and its own listing calls “Free Version Watermark” a feature of the free plan. Its reviews say what that means: “Giant watermark renders useless unless you pay”, “a huge FREE VERSION watermark across all of the PDFs”, “The basic viewer says that the ‘free version’ water mark is only viewable to the web editor, but it isn’t. It’s written right across the website”. Then it charges $11.77 a month for “Downloadable PDF — allow your users download the PDF files” and $15.24 for “Download & Print PDF”.
Wix retired its own Dropbox, Google Drive and native PDF apps and pointed those sites at AnyFile — 1.4★ over 88 reviews, $20.73 a month. The reviews are a queue of the same problem: “It doesn’t display the content of the file, which is what I use GoogleDrive to do” (7 votes), “It requires us to load every file onto the website rather than just pointing to where the file is stored… It doubles our work” (6), “All files must be manually uploaded after each change” (5), “Free version is very limited by features and storage… 20MB max” (5).
And the newest low-star review on the leader, dated three days before this app was built, is about the back office: “The reason we selected this app… was because of its display on the dashboard. Thinking that would allow us to update the various placements without accessing the editor, we decided to move forward… Later to find out after implementing it on roughly 20 websites, we are not able to update on the dashboard.”

Point it at a file you already have
Choose a PDF from your own Wix Media Manager, or paste a link: the address of a PDF, or the Google Drive or Dropbox share link you already have. Nothing is copied anywhere: the app remembers where your file is and the words around it. Give it a name, a description and a category, and that is a document. There is no limit to how many you add, and no megabyte allowance to run out of.

Drop it on any page, as many times as you like
Drag the element onto a page and it draws the library: a list or a grid of cards, each with its own first page rendered as the thumbnail, a search box and a category filter. Pick whether a document opens over the page in a panel or right inside the page, and how tall it is. Every colour, corner, column and word is yours, on the free plan.

Your visitor reads it without leaving
Four presentations, all free: continuous scroll, page by page, a real page-turn flipbook, and a thumbnail of every page. Zoom, fit-width, full screen, and a search that finds a word inside the document and highlights it. Download and print are free too. It runs in Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony.

No watermark and no badge, on any plan, ever
Not on the page, not across the document, not on a printout, and not in the editor. Three of the six apps on this shelf print their own name over your customers’ documents and charge between $4.16 and $6.92 a month to stop. We never do it in the first place.

No storage allowance, because we store nothing
Your documents stay in your own Wix Media Manager. This app keeps the address of a file and never a copy — which is why the whole category meters storage (10 MB free on the leader, 20 MB on the app Wix recommends, 150 MB for $11.77 a month) and this one has nothing to meter. Uninstalling leaves every file exactly where it was.

Download and print are free
The leader charges $11.77 a month to allow a download and $15.24 to allow a print. A viewer a visitor cannot download from is a picture of a document. Both are on the free plan, along with zoom, full screen, and search inside the document.

Nothing is converted, and nothing is uploaded anywhere
The real pages are drawn in the visitor’s own browser by a renderer that ships inside this app and is served from its own address — no content delivery network, no conversion service, no page of yours sent anywhere to be turned into something else. That is why the formatting is your formatting. A Google Drive or Google Docs link is the one exception, by your choice: that file is shown in Google’s own viewer, loaded straight from Google.

It never signs in to Dropbox or Google Drive
Deliberately. The app Wix recommends has a column of reviews saying its Drive connection hangs or refuses to log in at all, so there is no login here to hang: paste the share link you already have. A Dropbox PDF is drawn on your page like any other, and a Google Drive or Google Docs file opens inside your page in Google’s own viewer. The dashboard says on the row what a visitor will see, and reminds you to share a Google file as “Anyone with the link”.

Everything is edited in your own dashboard
The file, the name, the description, the category, the dates, whether it may be downloaded or printed. You open the editor only to place the element. The newest one-star-to-three-star review on the leader is from somebody who chose it for its dashboard, put it on twenty websites and then found they could not update anything there.

Nothing is stored about a visitor
No cookie, no local storage, no identifier. The only row a visitor’s action can ever write is one saying a document was opened, downloaded or printed, and only when you switch counting on — which document and which button, and nothing else at all.

It never takes an upload from a visitor
There is no way for somebody reading your page to put a file on your site through this app. The paid tier of the app Wix recommends sells exactly that, and it is a surface we will not open on somebody else’s website.

It is your site’s data, not ours
Every document is a row in a collection inside your own site, visible in your own CMS, and CSV export is free on every plan. There is no server of ours between your dashboard and your page.

- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Documents element (editor widget, any page, any number of times) / Dashboard page.
- Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers one library with no limit on documents, placements or megabytes, Google Drive and Dropbox share links, all four presentations (continuous scroll, page by page, page-turn flipbook, thumbnail contents), download, print, zoom, fit-width, search inside the document, full screen, each document’s first page drawn as its own thumbnail, search and category filters, every design control, every visitor-facing word editable, and CSV export, so you can prove it works before paying.

What is stored, and where
- Your libraries, documents and settings are stored in collections inside your own site.
- Your files stay in your own Wix Media Manager. The app stores the address and the words around it, never a copy — which is why there is no storage allowance on any plan.
- The document is fetched by the visitor’s own browser from wherever you keep it, and read there. No page of it ever reaches a server of ours, and a search inside a document runs on the visitor’s own machine. A Google Drive or Google Docs file is shown in Google’s own viewer inside your page, which the visitor’s browser loads straight from Google, under Google’s terms.
- If you switch counting on (Business), the app writes one row naming only the document and which button was pressed. No name, email, address, cookie or other visitor identifier is stored with it, and nothing at all is written to the visitor’s browser.
- Uninstalling removes the app’s collections. Your files are untouched — they were never ours.

Is there really no watermark on the free plan?
None, on any plan, ever — not on the page, not across the document, not on a printout, and not in the editor. Three of the six apps in this corner of the market print their own name on your customers’ documents and charge a monthly fee to take it off. That is the reason this app exists.
How many documents and how many megabytes do I get?
As many documents as you like, on as many pages as you like, and there is no megabyte allowance at all. Your files stay in your own Wix Media Manager and this app stores their addresses — so there is nothing of yours on a server of ours to meter. Every other app here caps the free plan at 10 or 20 MB.
Can visitors download and print?
Yes, free, on every plan, and you can switch either off per document. What are the four presentations?
Continuous scroll, page by page, a real page-turn flipbook with two facing pages, and a thumbnail contents grid of every page. All four are free, the owner picks the one a library opens in, and a visitor can switch between them unless you turn that off.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The layout is read from the document rather than from a screen-width guess, so it works inside Wix’s 980-pixel phone viewport where an ordinary media query never fires. Measured on a published page at 390 pixels: no horizontal scrolling, and the Download and Print buttons end above the fold by construction.
Does it work on Wix Studio?
Yes. It is a custom element, so it runs on Wix Studio, the classic Wix Editor and Wix Harmony — the same app, the same settings panel. It was placed, opened and driven on a published classic Wix site and on a real Wix Studio site before this listing was written.
