How it works

    The feed is read from the app’s backend, checked, and its episodes listed in the dashboard.

    Put the player on a page

    Add the Podcast Player element from the editor, pick the show, the layout and the accent colour.

    Keep publishing where you do

    New episodes appear as the feed updates. Nothing to re-upload.

    The player streams the episode files from wherever your feed points. The app stores no audio.

  • A broken feed keeps the last episodes

    If the feed cannot be read, the last good list stays up and the dashboard says why.

Installing & getting started

  1. Add Podcast Player to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
  2. Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Podcast Player element (editor widget, any page) / Dashboard page.
  3. Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers one feed, the latest ten episodes, every design control, so you can prove it works before paying.

What is stored, and where

  • Your feed address, episode list and overrides are stored in collections inside your own site.
  • The feed is read from the app’s backend on Wix’s infrastructure. Visitors’ browsers request the audio directly from your podcast host, as they would from any player.
  • The app collects nothing from visitors and sets no cookies. Uninstalling removes the app’s collections.
