The gap it closes
The table app most sites already have sits at 2.6★ across 780 reviews, and the reviews describe the same three failures: the table is cut off on a phone and the text does not wrap, a shared Google Sheet will not import, and a column of web addresses is shown as text instead of links.
Tables & Charts is built around exactly those faults. On a phone each row becomes a card, or the grid scrolls sideways; you choose, and nothing is ever clipped. A shared sheet imports in one click and, on the paid plans, refreshes itself while visitors are looking at the page.
Columns are typed for you: numbers align right and sort as numbers, addresses become links or buttons, image addresses become images. Rename any heading to translate it, and draw a bar, line, pie or donut chart from the same rows.
How it works
Three steps, then it runs itself.

Bring the rows in
Paste cells from a spreadsheet, upload a CSV file, or share a Google Sheet with anyone who has the link and paste that link. The headings become columns and each column’s type is worked out from what is in it.

Put it on the page
Add the Data Table element from the editor, pick which table it shows, and set its heading, colours and density on the element itself. Add it again on another page with a different table.

Let it look after itself
On Pro and Business a linked sheet is re-read automatically, so the page shows what the sheet says now. If the sheet is made private or the link breaks, the last good rows stay up and the dashboard tells you why.

Nothing is cut off on a phone
Below a phone-width the table either stacks each row into a card or keeps its grid and scrolls sideways inside its own frame. Text wraps in both. The page never scrolls sideways because of the table.

A broken sheet never blanks the page
If a refresh fails, the rows already stored are served and the error is recorded against the table for you to see. Visitors never get an empty grid because a link stopped working.

Only Google Sheets links are fetched, and only by us
The app reads sheets from its own backend, never from a visitor’s browser, and refuses any address that is not docs.google.com. Your sheet link is never shown to visitors.

Cell contents are never treated as markup
Every cell is written to the page as text. Links and images are only ever created from addresses that start with http, so nothing typed into a spreadsheet can execute on your site.

A failure says so
If a table cannot be loaded, the element says it is unavailable. It never renders as an empty table, which would hide a fault from you and look like a page nobody filled in.

One permission, and only one
The app asks to read your plan and basic site info. That is the entire permission list. It never reads orders, contacts, members or any other site data.

Installing & getting started
- Add Tables & Charts to your Wix site from the App Market and approve the permissions listed below.
- Open it from your site dashboard under Apps. It adds the Data Table element (editor widget, any page) / Dashboard page.
- Follow the three steps above. The free tier covers one table of up to 100 rows with sorting, search, paging, the mobile layout, a one-off import from a Google Sheet or CSV, and every design control, so you can prove it works before paying.

Permissions, and why each one
SCOPE.DEV_CENTER.APP-INSTANCE-READ-BASIC-INFO- Read which plan the site is on, so Pro and Business features unlock. This is the only permission the app asks for.
What is stored, and where
- Your tables (name, description, columns, display settings, chart settings) and their rows are stored in collections inside your own site. Rows are whatever you typed, pasted, uploaded or imported.
- If you link a Google Sheet, the link you pasted is stored with the table and the sheet is read from the app’s backend on Wix’s infrastructure. Google sees a request for the sheet’s CSV export and nothing about your visitors.
- The app collects no personal information about your visitors at all. There is no form to fill in, no comment to leave and no account to make. It sets no cookies.
- Nothing is copied to any server of ours; the app runs on Wix’s infrastructure and calls only Wix APIs and, for linked sheets, docs.google.com. Uninstalling removes the app’s collections.

Questions people ask.
Does the Google Sheet have to be public?
It has to be shared so that anyone with the link can view it. A private sheet cannot be read, and the dashboard tells you exactly that when Google answers with a sign-in page instead of the rows.
How often does a linked sheet update?
On the free plan it is imported when you click Import. Pro re-reads it every six hours and Business every hour, whenever visitors load the page, so you never have to come back to the dashboard to keep it current.
What happens on a phone?
You choose per table: each row becomes a card with the headings as labels, or the grid keeps its shape and scrolls sideways inside its own frame. Either way nothing is cut off and text wraps.
Can I make a column of links or buttons?
Yes. A cell holding an address becomes a link, or a button if you set the column type to Button. Write the cell as “Label | https://…” to show your own text instead of the address.
Does it translate my table?
It does not translate cell contents. Every heading is editable, so you can rename them, and on Business you can keep a separate version of a table per site language, which pages in that language get automatically.
Does the free plan expire?
No. One table of up to 100 rows, with sorting, search, paging, the mobile layout and every design control, free for as long as you like.
